another trainorian dialogue

The setting is a Music+ store on Wilshire Blvd.  Racks of
assorted videos, albums, and CDs can be seen.  A cheery
chap, let's call him Biff, is looking through the racks.
A store clerk flanks Biff on his left.

clerk: May i take your backpack?
Biff:  You can't take anything of mine!
clerk: I'm sorry but it's store policy.  Please give me your backpack.
       <<Biff flips through racks continuing to ignore clerk>>
clerk: Sir.  Backpacks are not allowed in the store.
Biff:  <<pointing to a woman>> Why don't you take her bag?
clerk: Purses are ok, backpacks are not.
Biff:  It's a purse.
clerk: No it isn't--it's a backpack.
       <<Biff flips through racks continuing to ignore clerk>>
clerk: Would you like to leave the store?
Biff:  No, I would not.
       <<clerk walks away frustrated>>
clerk: A...
Biff:  Look, <<interrupting clerk>> the law does not define what a purse is,
       so why don't you go away.
clerk: Oh my god.

Score--Biff 1, clerk 0.  Clerk follows Biff around the store for 10 minutes.
