Subject: misc. music stuff
A few quickies while my simulations are running... Anyone heard of 1919? I found this EP called Machine at the library that has some good pounding drums and distorted guitars, kind of like early Savage Republic or Killing Joke. Subsequent attempts to unearth other albums have failed... Also from the library: this deranged post-punk funk group called Coitus Int., which I assume has nothing to do with Rossi's old band. Any info will be much appreciated... Pseudo reviews: PART 1 PICTURES OF PAIN I know Hof already panned this in Shredded Slime but it's so bad it deserves another scathing review. I really wanted to like this one because of the incredibly cool cover (kind of an industrial version of Bosch) but the wimpy bass and half-assed distorted guitars really drove me crazy. It sucked (oops, I mean I hated it.) There. KILSLUG Really primitive sludge rock. I was unimpressed but you might like it if you're into this kind of stuff. New SPK Yet another plug: this is kind of a gentle industrial My Life In The Bush of Ghosts. Even non-industrial/noize freaks may like it. Bill
