To make this message somewhat relevant...first of all, thanks to Tim 
Wicinski on recommendations on places to go in DC, unfortunately, I was
stuck at Aberdeen, MD the entire trip.  Talk about a total loss.  With
all due apologies to the denizens of that burg, never again...

I'd like to make another skewed recommendation...buy "Macalla" by Clannad.
It's wonderful.  If you've heard other stuff by them, you know its very
trad. Irish stuff...well, they got signed by a major label, and that probably
ruined them as far as the trad crowd goes, but I'd rate parts of this album
right up there with the finer Suzanne Vega and similar music.  I'm enchanted
with it...

For those of you who are looking, Suzanne's album has just been released on
CD...if this is old hat, please forgive me...

Also, for you Mark Isham/Group 87/?Missing Persons?!?/ambient fans out there,
check out Patrick O'Hearn's "Ancient Dreams"...it's finding its way onto my
turntable much as of late...
