Subject: Re: MORE KATE ON WHFS!!!!
Here's part of a letter I just received from Jim Hofmann that KB fans might find interesting: From: Jim Hofmann <hofmann@AMSAA.ARPA> Subject: MORE KATE ON WHFS!!!! I can't believe all the Kate I am hearing [on WHFS, a progressive commercial radio station in MD -- Doug] .... I must rush out and buy "Lionheart" and the single - "Sat in Your Lap" - with that Donavan song I mentioned yesterday [they played "Lord of The Reedy River", the B-side to "Sat In Your Lap" -- Doug]. Listening to Kate is so-o-o relaxing but still stimulating (i.e. NOT DOCTOR OFFICE) but still relaxing but still stimulating but ... (you know) Hardcore is for the Weekends. Kate is for the Weeknights and morning and afternoons. Oooh, I swoon. "Get out of my House" is my fave from THE DREAMING ... with "Sat in ..." second and suspended in GAFFA 3rd... the rest are good, too but those are my favorites. Does it sound like I'm rambling it cause I am. Now if only HFS would play more BEET FARMERS and OFFENDERS and more obscure stuff, I wouldn't twiddle with the dial so much. I hear you are moderating a kate bush (et al.) group. I like to be on it only if there will be info on other music, too, like you said. However, I'm afraid I won't be able to contribute much since I am commited to writing for music-flamers. You're the bait/ cuz you set yourself up. reel it in, I caught a false bravado/ cast it again/ Once is never enough/ - Children in Adult Jails (1985)
