25th March 2005
I am organising a launch meeting of Greater Manchester
Democratic Socialist Alliance (GMDSA) on Thursday the
31st of March starting at 7pm, at the Friends Meeting
House, Mount Street, behind Manchester Central
Library, primarily on the issues of opposing Malcolm
Glazers takeover of Manchester United, racism in
football and the continued occupation of Iraq, and
proposing the standing of candidates in the
forthcoming general election see its website
(www.gmdsa.org.uk) or discussion group
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gmdsa). I want to
become MP for Withington, which would be a huge boost
for the working class.
If conspiratorial organisations on the side of big
business (including MI5 and the CIA but also more
secretive and powerful ones that are safe from
whistleblowers because very few people have heard of
them) did not obstruct me and other people on the side
of the working class, we would be able to build a very
strong socialist organisation very quickly capable of
winning many seats across Greater Manchester, but due
to the huge vested interests involved, they will not
let that happen. The most powerful technique at the
disposal of conspiratorial organisations is mind
control, which was revealed as number one in a list of
The Worlds Greatest Conspiracy Theories (and
definitely true), with over 500,000 websites devoted
to it, in a Channel 5 programme repeated on the 23rd
of December. Mind reading and control can be performed
by individuals, as exhibited by magicians and the
former magician Derren Brown to a large extent (and
even myself to a small extent) or by machines. See my
web page on Conspiracy Theories at
www.socialiststeve.me.uk/conspiracies.htm (the draft
of which is included below) for information about mind
control and the other theories in the top ten.
There is now a complex web of conspiratorial
organisations on the sides of both key classes in
society (big business and the working class) those
on the side of big business are trying to stop a world
socialist revolution and those on the side of the
working class are trying to neutralise them so that a
revolution will occur as quickly and as painlessly as
possible. These conspiratorial organisations
infiltrate other organisations on both sides in order
to destabilise them from within or to support them,
and the web is now so huge that no political activist
in the UK is free from influence, either by
recruitment to such organisations or by mind control.
The forces of big business cannot stop large numbers
of new people attending demonstrations, rallies and
meetings, but when some of them decide to get involved
in left-wing organisations then they do start
targeting those people. Additionally, people who play
a large influence on my life and on the lives of other
key individuals in society are also targeted. People
on the side of the working class do not sit by and let
this happen without fighting back; some of us set up
our own conspiratorial organisations and use the same
methods as those of big business, without stooping to
their unethical practices such as torture, bombings or
terrorism of course. Some say that manipulating
peoples minds is unethical, but it is essential to
put an end to all the problems of world capitalism,
including poverty, unemployment, homelessness,
discrimination, famines, deaths from preventable
diseases, war and environmental destruction.
I
I have been severely hampered in my attempts to build
a huge GMDSA launch meeting primarily by my
incarceration by the British state as a political
prisoner in a psychiatric ward (Brook Ward at
Manchester Royal Infirmary). This has happened with
various excuses since the summer of 1998, but on my
latest admission I found that they can just make
everything up! Therefore, becoming an MP is very
important, not just because of what I could do in
Westminster, but to get out of the rigmarole of being
continually incarcerated. This is particularly
important for the revolutionary socialist band called
Galaxia (see
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/galaxiamusic) that I
will launch after the general election. Going on tour
would be problematic if I could be incarcerated again
at any time.
My first incarceration came after I became a serious
factor in the world situation by being the only
person from England or Wales to support the setting up
of the Scottish Socialist Party (SSP) from the
platform of the 1998 European School of the Committee
for a Workers International (CWI) where the CWI is
an international organisation which unites the
Socialist Party (formerly the Militant Tendency, which
I joined during the 18 million-strong mass non-payment
campaign that defeated the poll tax and brought down
Margaret Thatcher) to similar organisations around the
world. It was a conference of about 200 revolutionary
socialists, supposedly some of the best in the world,
but I discovered a huge level of infiltration at that
event, which led to the Socialist Party and CWI
opposing the formation of the SSP. I resigned from the
Socialist Party later in 1998, but continued as a
political activist in the Socialist Alliance (SA), and
particularly campaigned against sanctions and war on
Iraq, for freedom for Palestine and against ID cards.
The SA should have led to an organisation like the
SSP, which now has six members of the Scottish
Parliament, but it was dominated, wrecked and then
dissolved by the Socialist Workers Party (SWP), whose
leadership has always been dominated by conspiratorial
organisations on the side of big business. Whereas in
Scotland, socialists are united in the SSP, which now
has six members of the Scottish parliament (MSPs),
sectarianism from some socialist organisations
(particularly the SWP and Socialist Party) is proving
a big barrier to building similar organisations in
England and Wales. After the dissolution of the SA, I
had hoped that a Socialist Unity conference
organised on the 12th of March by the Socialist
Alliance Democracy Platform (SADP) would lead to a
Democratic Socialist Alliance (DSA) being set up on a
national basis, but I was unable to attend and emails
that I sent proposing such a move were ignored. I
unfortunately sent an email a day too late for a
Stockport SA/SADP meeting, because I forgot the day it
was held, so I did not get agreement for the GMDSA
launch from that meeting. Nevertheless, I had to press
ahead because so much is at stake. The SADP has
control over the DSA party name, so endorsement from
that organisations leadership is necessary for any
candidates the GMDSA agrees to stand, so I would like
an SADP speaker at the launch meeting (apart from the
fact that it seems to be the most positive
organisation to arise out of the SA project). I would
however put myself forward as an independent, or get
us to adopt a similar party name if necessary. If we
can get sufficient people to gather a proposer,
seconder and eight assentors for each candidate, from
electors in the appropriate constituency, we can get
manifestos delivered by postal workers, so we could
manage without many members.
The main way I have been hampered in building a big
GMDSA launch meeting has been by my psychiatrists
granting me very little leave and insisting that it is
all escorted which has meant that I have often not
had all the leave that I have been promised and that I
have been very restricted as far as handing out
leaflets. The extent to which the web of
conspiratorial organisations has permeated left-wing
organisations has been revealed by the fact that I
have not persuaded any other activists to take
leaflets to hand out themselves (which would enable me
to publicise a meeting point on the internet). I have
to rely on publicising the meeting on the internet,
which I will do to quite a large extent, but am also
limited by technical problems preventing my laptop
working with my mobile phone.
I have booked the Friends Meeting House for a meeting
to pick candidates on Thursday the 7th of April at
7pm.
PS I had asked Rosie Kane MSP if she could attend my
tribunal on Wednesday the 30th of March. I now realise
that there is no chance for me to win it, because it
would be so beneficial for the working class, so there
is no point in her attending. However, it is important
for her to come to the GMDSA launch meeting. I can
guarantee that her expenses, plus those of the SADP
speaker, will be covered.

My draft page on conspiracy theories is included
below:
A great programme entitled The Worlds Greatest
Conspiracy Theories was repeated the Thursday before
Christmas on Channel 5 (in the UK). The programme was
very conditional about all the conspiracies except for
the final one, which it stated was fact (and provided
a lot of evidence for this) mind control. The
following is the countdown from the programme,
analysed according to the number of websites devoted
to each conspiracy theory (over 100,000 for the first,
over 500,000 for the last).
* Were the moon landings faked? The programme talked
about the possibility that it was filmed in a desert
by Hollwood, focussing on the fact that the shadows on
the moons surface werent compatible with the
position of the sun, the movement of the US flag
indicating that there was wind and the clarity of the
photographs and film footage despite the two
astronauts wearing cumbersome spacesuits. However, a
fact that wasnt mentioned that is even more
convincing is that there are van Allen belts around
the Earth emitting large amounts of radiation. Some
people on the internet have argued that the level of
radiation are small and that a spaceship can travel
through them quickly. However, even if the belt was
narrow enough and levels of radiation small enough for
astronauts to be able to survive, they could still die
of leukemia over time this killed hundreds of
thousands of people in Iraq (exacerbated by the
sanctions regime which prevented equipment that could
have saved some of their lives being available within
that country). Furthermore, the fact that people only
supposedly went back to the moon once or twice,
coupled with the fact that we still have not visited
Mars despite massive advances in technlogy since 1969,
indicates that it is not possible to get much further
away from the Earth than Yuri Gagarin. It was
politically important for the USA to fake the moon
landings as part of the Cold War, after Russian
Gagarin became the first person to get into space. The
most important factor in this conspiracy theory is the
fact that George W Bush could blow up whole planets
with great balls of fire (as Jerry Lee Lewis would
say) if we were allowed to travel the galaxy under
capitalism. In my opinion, there is an advanced
socialist society in outer space that will let (most
of) us join them at some point after a world socialist
revolution. I believe that that is the message in the
vitally important song Fly Up to the Moon by Colin
Vearncombe (the artist formerly known as Black).
* Was Marilyn Monroe murdered? I think so.
* Are UFOs flying overhead? Yes! A very large number
of them were spotted over Mexico at the time of the
Zapatista uprising in January 1994. Aliens are very
interested in what is going on on the Earth,
especially events that will play a big role in the
future of this planet such as those revolutionary
movements in Mexico.
* Is Elvis Presley still alive? No.
* Are the Royal Family giant lizards in disguise?
Obviously not! The former snooker commentator, David
Icke, who came up with that theory (after wearing
purple and believing that he was the son of God, or
perhaps at the same time) is an utterly ridiculous
character. Some people have thought that lizard was
a code-word for Jew and accused him of
anti-semitism, but those who have analysed his
literature and attended his lectures in sufficient
depth have realised that he really does believe in
lizards!
* Was Princess Diana assassinated? Definitely! See
my page on assassinations for my analysis of the
evidence, largely taken from a brilliant book
(entitled Diana: Death of a Goddess) by David Cohen.
* Did Adolf Hitler fake his own death? No.
* Are alien abductions taking place? No. In my
opinion, this is a false conspiracy theory promoted by
big business to make us think that aliens are evil.
For any race to survive in a galaxy full of good
species, it must itself be good or it would be
outwitted too easily to be sustainable.
* Was there a plot to assassinate John F Kennedy
(JFK)? Yes. The brilliant song John F Kennedy by
Tom Clay points out that he was a good man and tried
to stop the Vietnam war. This is enough justification
for the US secret services to bump him off.
* Mind control This item featured John Allman from
an organisation called Christians Against Mental
Slavery, who showed a device which he said (although
it was relatively crude compared to the sort of device
used by organisations like the CIA) was capable of
broadcasting voices into peoples heads. He had
received mysterious phone calls at four oclock in the
morning, including one saying that he would die if he
didnt leave the country, but he stood up to the
forces of big business and said that he didnt know
how they would cope with somebody revealing how they
operate on TV! The first time that mind control was
discovered was after POWs tortured by the Chinese
during Korean War had been discovered to have become
Chinese agents after that experience, on return to the
USA. It was also revealed that documents had been
leaked which showed how the CIA used drugs such as LSD
during the Cold War, and film footage from the 1960s
was shown of a bull being prevented from charging due
to a radio-controlled implant in its brain. The
programme talked about mind control using machines,
but some people can also do it using their brains,
such as magicians and particularly the former
magician Derren Brown Derren has said that his
apparent mind reading and control abilities are a
trick but I dont think he knows how he does it
because his subconscious is largely responsible. This
was particularly apparent on his recent Channel 4
programme Derren Brown: Messiah, where he expressed
nervousness before emulating psychics on a journey
across the USA having not attempted the same things
before. I have set up two mind control discussion
groups on the internet, one which relates mind control
to Isaac Asimovs book Second Foundation (a secret
conspiratorial organisation in his Foundation series
that uses mind reading and mind control techniques)
the description of the second-foundation group lists
others that I am on. The other group I have set up,
voices-inside, is about dealing with those voices,
as explained in an extra bonus track on Latin
Quarter's first album Modern Times.
Two books about conspiracies were promoted at the end
of the programme, that I will try to get hold of from
Waterstones soon: The 80 Greatest Conspiracy Theories
of All Time by Jonathan Vankin and UFOs, JFK and Elvis
by Richard Belzer
