This was the view from Kate's hotel room on her visit to New York in November 1985 to promote Hounds of Love. This view was almost certainly, at least in part, responsible for the inspiration of the song "Top of the City." Another theory of inspiration, valid when you consider Kate's love of films, is the Wim Wender's film "Wings of Desire."
